Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

___1. PROBLEM: Electrical cord running through ceiling from front window sign.
TFC REFERENCE: 605.5 Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage
or physical impact.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Plug sign into outlet or power strip. No electrical cords are to be run through the ceiling or ceiling tile.

___2. PROBLEM: Escutcheon plates missing from sprinkler heads in front, in back and in office.
TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an
operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have missing escutcheon plates replaced on sprinkler heads.

___3. PROBLEM: Emergency lighting unit above office inoperable.
TFC REFERENCE: 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have emergency lighting unit serviced.

___4. PROBLEM: Fire extinguisher in office has out-dated service tag and is not mounted on a bracket.
TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an
operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or
repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems
and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or
removed. AND: 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire
extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the
hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be
securely anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with
the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have portable fire extinguisher serviced and mounted on a bracket.
