On 1-14-08, a complaint was filed by The Tucson Police Department to this office, in regards to 8459 East Broadway, J&G Music Center You have been identified as the owner of this building. The complaint indicated that dances and other social gatherings are being conducted at this building. Assembly (A) type gatherings. This is in violation of the Tucson Fire code. This building has a Certificate of Occupancy classification of group B-Business(B) The following definitions are for A and Type B occupancies [B] Assembly Group A. Assembly Group A occupancy includes, among others, the use of a building or structure, or a portion thereof, for the gathering together of persons for purposes such as civic, social or religious functions; recreation, food or drink consumption; or awaiting transportation. Exceptions: 1. A building used for assembly purposes with an occupant load of less than 50 persons shall be classified as a Group B occupancy. 2. A room or space used for assembly purposes with an occupant load of less than 50 persons and accessory to another occupancy shall be classified as a Group B occupancy or classified as part of that occupancy. 3. Aroom or space used for assembly purposes that is less than 750 square feet (70 m2) in area and is accessory to another occupancy shall be classified as a Group Boccupancy or classified as part of that occupancy. [B] Business Group B. Business Group B occupancy includes, among others, the use of a building or structure, or a portion thereof, for office, professional or service-type transactions, including storage of records and accounts. All future events are subject to immediate litigation. 2). There have been fire inspections in 7-31-01 and 10-18-06 (enclosed) with numerous violations. All past fire code violations are subject to litigation. At this time you are hereby odered to contact Inspector Effrim Griffin for a full fire inspection. 3). Currently this building is unsecured.
