This was a TPD request for assistance. Upon arrival I met with Sgt. Musgrove who explained police were summoned to the trailer for a disturbance and found the deplorable living conditions. There were 2 individuals living in the trailer along with several animals. The inside of the trailer was completely infested with roaches and other insects. Insects were crawling on every surface in sight. Ceiling, walls, floor, furniture, cabinets. All utilities were connected and there was a way to prepare meals. The bathroom was operable however highly unsnitary. I explained to the occupants that due to the infestation of insects that I would be condemning the trailer until such time a subsequent inspection could verify that the insects were exteminated and the trash and debris were removed and the trailer made tenable for occupancy for human beings. Bathcrest was called to board up the trailer. Occupants were given 1 week to mitigate the insect infestation and make the trailer inhabitable. |
