___4.PROBLEM: Ceiling tiles missing above center freezer.
TFC REFERENCE: 703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops,
shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive
coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to
structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be
maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored
or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated.
Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit,
wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any
reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of
resisting the passage of smoke and fire.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Replace missing ceiling tiles above freezer.

___5. PROBLEM: Fire extingusher behind front counter on floor
TFC RFERENCE:906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the
hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be
securely anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with
the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Mount fire extinguishers on bracket in clearly visible location. Also see references in problem #3.

___6. PROBLEM: Rear exit partially blocked with portable shelving unit. Aisle clearance is inadequate.
TFC REFERENCE: 1003.6 Means of egress continuity. The path of egress travel along a means of egress shall not be interrupted by any building element other than a means of egress component as specified in this chapter. Obstructions shall not be placed in the required width of a means of egress except projections permitted by this chapter. The required capacity of a means of egress system
shall not be diminished along the path of egress travel. AND: 1021.2 Width. The width of exit passageways shall be determined
as specified in Section 1005.1 but such width shall not
be less than 44 inches (1118 mm), except that exit passageways
serving an occupant load of less than 50 shall not be less than 36 inches (914 mm) in width.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Provide clear pathway of at least 36 inches in width to the exit for staff to exit in the event of an emergency.

These violations must be corrected in 2 weeks. This is a reinspection. If violations are not corrected upon next reinspection the citation process will be initiated.

12/12/2007 INSP - FULL Correction Required The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business . Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications).

___1. PROBLEM: Storage on shelves too close to sprinkler head in office and on walk-in freezer.
TFC REFERENCE: 315.2.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 2 feet (610 mm) or more below the ceiling in nonsprinklered areas of buildings or a minimum of 18 inches (457 mm) below sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of
buildings.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove storage from around sprinkler head to a clearance of at least 18 inches from sprinkler deflector.

___2. PROBLEM: Compressed gas cylinder not secured
TFC REFERENCE: 3003.5 Security. Compressed gas containers, cylinders, tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgement...
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Properly secure compressed gas cylinder from tipping over.

___3. PROBLEM: Fire extinguisher by walk in freezer has out of date inspection tag. Fire extinguisher behind front counter is not readily visible and both are not on bracket.
TFC REFERENCE: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an
operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or
repaired where defective. 906.5 Conspicuous location. Portable fire extinguishers shall be located in conspicuous locations where they will be readily accessible and immediately available for use. These locations shall be along normal paths of travel,... 906.7 Hangers and brackets. Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on the hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be securely anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have fire extinguishers serviced and tagged yearly. Mount fire extinguishers on a bracket in a readily visible location.

___4. PROBLEM: Inspection and maintenance records of commercial hood system not available. Tag on pull station unclear as to date of last inspection and test .
TFC REFERENCE: 904.11.6.4 Extinguishing system service. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every 6 months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion. 901.6.2 Records. Records of all system inspections, tests and maintenance required by the referenced standards shall be
maintained on the premises for a minimum of three years and
shall be copied to the fire code official upon request.
REQUIRED CORRECTION: Find out when and obtain records for last inspection and maintenance done on hood suppression system.
