Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). ___1. PROBLEM: Front door has panic hardware with thumb turn lock. TFC REF: Section 1028.6 Panic hardware. Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed, the panic or fire exit hardware shall be the only locking device on the door... REQUIRED CORRECTION: Remove or cap thumb turn latch on door with panic hardware on it. ___2. PROBLEM: Slide bolts on metal doors. TFC REF: 1008.1.8.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Slide bolts on doors shall be removed. ___3. PROBLEM: Electrical panel in back room blocked TFC REF: 605.3Working space and clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches (762 mm) in width, 36 inches (914 mm) in depth and 78 inches (1981 mm) in height shall be provided in front of electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the working space shall not be less than the width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located within the designated working space. REQURED CORRECTION: Storage around electrical panel shall be removed and the required area shall be kept clear. ___4. PROBLEM: tanks of compressed gas not secured properly TFC REF: 3003.5 Security. Compressed gas containers, cylinders, tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgement... REQUIRED CORRECTION: Compressed gas tanks shall be secured. ___5. PROBLEM: Fire extinguisher in back room has no service tag on it. TFC REF: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Fire extinguishers shall be serviced annually and evidence of such shall be supplied.
