TFC: 904.11.1 Manual system operation. A manual actuation device shall be located at or near a means of egress from the cooking area a minimum of 10 feet (3048 mm) and a maximumof 20 feet (6096 mm) from the kitchen exhaust system. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have required pull stations installed as per outlined in code. Per Roadrunner Fire and Safety Equip: "Nozzles in hood are clogged...system is not UL 300...electrical shut down did not work." TFC CODE REF: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Have system serviced by qualified individual. PROBLEM: When two employees were questioned regarding location of manual activation pull station for hood suppression system they were unaware of location of pull stations. TFC CODE REF: 406.2 Frequency. Employees shall receive training in the contents of fire safety and evacuation plans and their duties as part of new employee orientation and at least annually thereafter. Records shall be kept and made available to the fire code official upon request. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Employees to be trained and knowledgeable in use of and location of emergency equipment.
