PROBLEM: Double bolt lock on back door TFC REF: 1008.1.8 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. REQUIRED CORRECTION: Replace double key bolt lock with thumb turn lock on back warehouse door. ___2. PROBLEM: Sprinkler valve not secured open TFC REF: As required in NFPA 25, section 13.3.1.3: "Each normally open valve shall be secured by means of a seal or a lock or shall be electrically supervised..." REQUIRED CORRECTION: Chain and lock the control valve on the sprinkler system in the open position. Notify and provide a key for the personnel who maintain and inspect your system. ___3. PROBLEM: Emergency lighting in warehouse not working. TFC REF: 1006.1 Illumination required. The means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. REQUIRED CORRECTION: All emergency backup units shall function properly. Also as per above recommendation: Test emergency backup lighting and lighted exit signs every 3 months and replace bulbs and or batteries as necesssary.
