10/11/2007 INSP - FULL Violation On 9-12-07, a fire prevention inspection was conducted at Sam Levitz Furniture, 3430 East 36th Street in Tucson, Arizona

On *10-11-07, a re-inspection was conducted and the following International Fire Code 2003 Violation(s) was noted:

1). Fire pump still is in need of repair. IFC 901.6
The following shall be completed before 10-23-07;
Repair fire pump
Retest fire pump
Submit new fire pump test to TFD for review.

2). During reinspection there was evidence of smoking materials extinguished near combustible material.

In the future: all evidence of smoking will be photographed and sent to The City of Tucson Prosecutor's Office for possible litigation. IFC 310.
NO SMOKING ALLOWED 50 feet from building.

3). Extend sprinkler coverage into office. IFC 901.6

This letter is to inform you that abatement of these Tucson Fire Code violations must be completed by 10-23-07.
A re-inspection shall be conducted at that time to ensure compliance.

Failure to comply with these Tucson Fire Code requirements could result in civil litigation under; City of Tucson Ordinance 9609.

(3658 mm)but less than 15 feet (4572 mm)in height shall be
in accordance with the fire protection requirements set forth
in NFPA 13. Shelf storage 15 feet (4572 mm) or more in
height shall be protected in an approved manner with special
fire protection, such as in-rack sprinklers.
