On 10/12/07 a re-inspection was conducted at the gate installed at the facility on 717 South Alvernon Way. Currently the gate has electric motor but does not have the required electric over ride for emergency vehicles. This is a fire code violation of IFC (modified) 503.6.1 which states. Section 503.6.1 Electric operating gates. Gates that use electric or other means of power to automatically open or unlock shall have a manual override system. Manual override controls shall be located on the entrance side of gate, or when power has failed, the gates(s) shall open and stay open until power is restored for normal operations. Please install manual over ride as directed by fire code. This letter is to inform you that abatement of these Tucson Fire Code violations must be completed by 10-26-07.
