Golf Links Tucson, AZ. 85730 Mr. Erchull The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on August 20, 2007. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about September 4, 2007 Notice of Violations: _____ 105.6.17 #3 Flammable and combustible liquids. An operational permit is required to store, handle, install, test or use Class II or Class IIIA or Class IIIB liquids in excess of 25 gallons (95 L) in a building or in excess of 60 gallons (227 L) outside a building, except for fuel oil used in connection with oil-burning equipment. · Obtain a permit for your AST's (2 each) · Permit application requires: -Site plan (Does not have to be to scale) -Number of tanks -Location of tanks -Contents of tank -Capacity of the tank -Method of secondary containment NOTE: Fax the site plan to Rachel Duarte 791-5346. Mrs. Duarte will type up your permit application and a tank inspection will be conducted by Inspector Conrad Funke _____ 1026.3 Exit sign illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. The face of an exit sign illuminated from an external source, shall have an intensity of not less than foot-candles (54 lux). Internally illuminated signs shall provide equivalent luminance and be listed for the purpose: · Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times · Emergency Backup lighting shall operate ____ 1008.1.8 Door operations. Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort. · Replace the deadbolts on the West and South exits from the repair shop have double-key locking hardware ____ 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used: · Replace the electrical cover-plate on the West wall in the repair shop. NO SMOKING 310.2 Prohibited areas. Smoking shall be prohibited where conditions are such as to make smoking a hazard, and in spaces where flammable or combustible materials are stored or handled. Currently there are areas that flammable and combustible materials are being used or handled where smoking is occurring. 310.3 "No Smoking" signs. The fire code official is authorized to order the posting of "No Smoking" signs in a conspicuous location in each structure or location in which smoking is prohibited. The content, lettering, size, color and location of required "No Smoking" signs shall be approved. 310.5 Compliance with "No Smoking" signs. Smoking shall not be permitted nor shall a person smoke, throw or deposit any lighted or smoldering substance in any place where "No Smoking" signs are posted.
