The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on August 1, 2007. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2006 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about August 16, 2007

Notice of Violations:

315.2.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 2 feet (610 mm) or more below the ceiling in nonsprinklered areas of buildings or a minimum of 18 inches (457 mm) below sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of buildings.
· Balloon area
· Liquor lock-up cooler

703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, fire stops, shaft enclosures, partitions and floors) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated.
· Replace the missing ceiling tiles in the deli

904.11.5 Commercial cooking equipment. Portable fire extinguishers shall be provided within a 30-foot (9144 mm) travel distance of commercial-type cooking equipment.
Cooking equipment involving vegetable or animal oils and fats shall be protected by a Class K rated portable extinguisher.
· All employees that work in and around the deli shall be trained as to the operation of your hood system and store policy for extinguishing a fire in the hood.





605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used:
· Freezer: repair the panel on the chiller and the light which is coming apart from it's molding.
· Re-attach the dead-face panel on the electrical panel near the maintenance area.
· Repair exposed wires on the telecommunication board in the area near the bailer.
· Replace blank in electrical panel "LRCB" where breakers are missing.
· Place a cover plate on the outlet behind the soda machine in the break room.


407.2 Material Safety Data Sheets. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all hazardous materials shall be readily available on the premises.
· Train employees on your Hazardous communications program.


605.5 Extension Cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances.
· Remove the extension cord in the electrical room that is attached to the wall near the pallet jack charging station.
· Remove extension cord in the maintenance room
· Remove the extension cord in the pharmacy behind the most West computer.

· The stock against the wall in the back stock area is hampering the sprinkler system coverage. Stock shall be 18" below the sprinkler heads.


Electrical Room
315.2.3 Equipment rooms. Combustible material shall not be stored in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms or electrical equipment rooms.
· Remove all combustible material in the electrical room

605.3.1 Labeling. Doors into electrical control panel rooms shall be marked with a plainly visible and legible sign stating ELECTRICAL ROOM or similar approved wording…
· Provide the appropriate sign on the electrical room door.
