The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on June 28, 2007. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2003 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about July 10, 2007


Notice of Violations:
_____ 3003.3 Security. Compressed gas containers, cylinders, tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgment and against access by unauthorized personnel in accordance with Sections 3003.3.1 through 3003.3.3.
· Secure the compressed gas cylinder in the kitchen

_____ 605.5 Extension Cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact…
· Currently there is an extension cord going through the wall in the banquet area. This must be removed.
· Under the dry goods

_____ 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used:
· Place blanks in the electrical panel



_____ 605.4 Multiplug adapters. Multiplug adaptors, such as cube adaptors, unfused plug strips or any other device not complying with the ICC Electrical Code shall be prohibited.
· Remove the multiplug adaptor near theradio

_____ 1008.1.8.4 Bolt locks. Manually operated flush bolts or surface bolts are not permitted.
· Remove the slide bolt between the banquet area and the dining area.

_____ 102.4 Application of building code. The design and construction of new structures shall comply with the International Building Code. Repairs, alterations and additions to existing structures shall comply with the International Existing Building Code or New Jersey Rehabilitation Subcode.
· Since you have opened up to the unit next door your square footage has doubled. This changes your C of O requiring that you update all information concerning your sqft and occupant load. Contact Development Services Department (DSD) 791-5550 to apply for a current Certificate of Occupancy.
