Silverlake Ste. 202 Tucson, AZ. 85713 Mr. Mattes The Tucson Fire Department has conducted a fire safety inspection at the above stated business on May 23, 2007. Below is a list of violations that shall be corrected to provide compliance with the applicable codes, regulations and ordinances. Compliance is required by the 2003 International Fire Code (with modifications). A Re-inspection will be performed on or about June 6, 2007 Notice of Violations: ____ 605.1/ 605.6 Unapproved conditions. Open junction boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes. · Replace the missing electrical cover plate outside of Rosanna's office ____ 605.5 Extension Cords. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. · Remove the extension cord in Executive Director's office _____ 1006.3 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premise's electrical supply. Bachup emergency lights shall operate properly: · Classroom #1 on the West Wall · Classroom #2 on the North wall ____ 1026.3 Exit sign illumination. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. The face of an exit sign illuminated from an external source, shall have an intensity of not less than foot-candles (54 lux). Internally illuminated signs shall provide equivalent luminance and be listed for the purpose. · The exit sign in classroom # 1 shall illuminate by backup battery.
