The use of propane/butane torch for melting pitch/attaching compenents must meet provisions of this code. Hot work must be performed on a non combustible surface and away from other combustible materials. Area must be signed to mark a hazardous process ( hotwork ). There may be no use of paper on the surface that hotwork is being performed on. Records of hotwork must be kept and maintained available upon future inspections. |
