Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. _____ Extinguishers shall be inspected and tagged in accordance with this code. K-Class Extinguisher, stove/kitchen area/Deli/meat counter/front check area/Business office _____ Escutchens for sprinkler heads shall be repaired/replaced where missing. TFC 903.5 - Sprinkler systems shall be tested and maintained in accordance with Section 901. TFC 901.6.2 - Records of all system inspections, tests, and maintenance required by the referenced standards shall be maintained on the premises for a minimum of 3 years and made available to the fire code official upon request. _____ Sprinkler system, riser and valves shall be tested and tagged, stock room. TFC 906.6 - Fire extinguishers shall not be obstructed or obscured from view. In rooms or areas in which visual obstruction cannot be completely avoided, means shall be provided to indicate the locations of extinguishers. _____ Provide approved signage locating extinguishers. TFC 904.11.6.4 - Hood System Service. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every 6 months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion. _____The hood exhaust and extinguishing systems shall be inspected and tagged. TFC 905.9 - Valve supervision. Valves controlling water supplies shall be supervised in the open position so that a change in the normal position of the valve will generate a supervisory signal at the supervising station required by Section 903.4. Where a fire alarm system is provided, a signal shall also be transmitted to the control unit. Exceptions: 2. Valves locked in the normal position and inspected as provided in this code in buildings not equipped with a fire alarm system. _____ Connect electric alarm for sprinkler system main valve, stock room (or provide approved lock for valve per NFPA 13). |
