INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT |
|
Violation |
Initial inspection showed excessive amounts of storage in front yard including all manner of items: boxes, furniture, bags, tubs, tools, equipment, etc. The back yard is filled with the same type of materials, but is screened by 6'0" block wall which is acceptable. However, review of the back yard combined with recent aerial orthophotos show that the property has over the approved 25% of total lot area of storage. The sheer amount of items creates a hazard for egress, attractive nuisance, mosquite breeding, and fire hazard, as there are many unmarked bucket with undetermined material. City records for historical cases on this property going back to 1998 show at least three (3) separate investigations by various departments for the same issue. This indicates an inability to stay in compliance and that the owner is aware of city code regulations in regards to storage and refuse. Based on this, a citation will be issued for storage violations of the land use code and an accumulation of refuse from the NPO. |
