Date Description Inspector Results Comments
03/27/2008 BUILDING - PROGRESS Denied PREVIOUS INSPECTION RESULTS SHOW WORK WAS REQUIRED AND INSPECTION WAS ENTERED IN ERROR AS APPROVED INSTEAD OF A DENIAL OR PARTIAL APPROVAL. THIS INSPECTION IS DENIED AND THE PERMIT IS NOW EXPIRED.
02/14/2007 BUILDING - PROGRESS Approved The results of a preliminary inspection for purposes of a temporary Certificate of Occupancy are as follows:

1) All egress doors have hardware installed that is inaccessible to children. If something were to happen to a teacher in an individual classroom there is no way for the children to safely exit nor notify other adults in a timely manner.
2) The main entrance has an enclosure with a gate that would interfere with a timely exit in the event of an emergency.
3) Under floor "root cellar" is being used to store combustible materials. Fire alarm system in this area appears mechanically damaged. Fire Inspector E. Griffin has been contacted to assess the situation.
4) There is a loose cover at a plug receptacle in the 4's room that could allow a child to insert their finger.
5) The grounding electrode system at the service entrance appears to be modified and will require verification that Code has been met.
6) Emergency exit lighting could not be tested. Illuminated exit signs have not been installed.
7) An "Arizona Box" for the swamp cooler on the north side is missing proper weatherproof covers.
8) Kitchen sinks, hand sinks, water closets, lavatories and utility sinks have been improperly installed and or installed without required permits and inspection.
9) Utility sink outside kitchen does not have proper back flow protection. Exterior hose bibs require anti siphon devices for back flow protection.
10) Combustion air vent for water heater in cellar will need to be opened for free exchange of air within space.
11) One or more IIB shade structures (canopy over steel frame) have been erected without necessary permits or inspection.
12) One or more VB shade structures (canopy or wood on wood frame) have not been installed or attached to main building without proper permits or inspection.
13) Handrails do not meet Code at rear steps.
14) Guardrail at deck between buildings is not secure.
15) Exterior envelope of south building has not been maintained.
