01/17/2008 GRADING - INTERMEDIATE Correction Required CONCERNS ABOUT DRAIN IN TRASH ENCLOSURE

Our Development Standard, Section 6.4.2.C1 reads as follows:
C. Enclosures for dumpster containers are as follows.
1. The base shall be a concrete slab with an inside clear dimension of ten (10) feet by ten (10) feet by five (5) inches thick. Restaurants and other food service establishments are required to provide a sewer-connected drain in the center of the slab to facilitate container cleaning.

Pima County's Title 13.36.060.C2 reads as follows:
Prohibited wastes
C. Industrial wastewater that may cause dilution or POTW hydraulic loading problems, including, but not limited to:
1. Any water added for the purpose of diluting wastes which would otherwise exceed maximum concentration limits;
2. Any rainwater, screenwriter runoff, groundwater, street drainage, roof drainage, yard drainage, water from yard fountains, ponds, swimming pools, lawn sprays or uncontaminated water except where prior approval for such discharge is given by the director

Our design criteria appears to be diametrically opposed to Pima County's wishes and, more importantly, their ordinance.

Subject: RE: Whataburger 6504 E. 22nd Street - T07BU01296 - Bike parking

Good morning Nichole,

Regarding the lack of class I bike parking spaces on Whataburger, there is a provision that says that if a site has under 50 parking spaces that the class 2 parking spaces are acceptable for the class I spaces as well.

He's got 25 parking spaces on his site, so he can use the 4 class 2 spaces for the total number of bike spaces he needs, per the LUC 3.3.4

Thanks for checking - very good!
