06/10/2006 INITIAL CODE VIOLATION Approved RECIEVED A CALL FROM COMMUNICATION THAT T.F.D. ON SITE. ARRIVED AND MET ARSON INVESTIGATOR ON SITE DUE TO FIRE UNITS HAD LEFT THE SCENE. JEFF SHOWED ME WEHRE THE FIRE WAS AND IT WAS ON THE 3RD FLOOR PATIO DECK AND STARTED GOING INTO THE STORAGE ROOM. AND STILL ON EXTERIOR OF DECK. FIRE DID NOT GO INTO THE LIVING AREA BUT HAD SMOKE. THEIR WERE SPRINKLERS ON THE COMPLEX AND THEY WENT OFF ON DECK AND CEILING AREA IN CLOSET. HEADS WERE PULLED BY FIRE AND REPLACED ON DECK. HAD TO CHECK UNIT BELOW DUE TO WATER WENT DOWN AND NEEDED TO CHECK FOR WATER DAMAGE. FOUND CEILING DRIPPING WITH WATER ON CARPET INSIDE UNIT AND DECK WAS DRIPPING FROM ABOVE WHICH WAS WOOD. UNIT #291 HAD DOORS BROKEN INTO TO GAIN ENTRY. WENT TO UNIT #191 AND HAD ALREADY HAD PLASTIC PLACED ON FURNITURE DUE TO ALREADY HAD PLASTIC PLACED ON FURNITURE DUE TO WATER DRIPPING FROM CEILING.
UNIT #191 HAD SOMEONE LIVING IN UNIT BUT LEFT THE AREA DUE TO SMELL OF FIRE AND WATER5 DRIPPING. UNIT #291 WAS VACANT AND OWNED BY OWNER IN CALIF. AND VERY ILL. GOT APPROVAL FROM AL WHICH WAS A BOARD MEMBER TO SECURE UNIT DUE TO UNABLE TO SECURE DOOR. OPENING DUE TO BEING BROKEN INTO TO GAIN ENTRY. WOODEN DOOR WAS SPLIT AT LOCK AREA AD METAL SECURITY WAS BENT BY FORCED ENTRY. WHILE DOING REPORT A COMPANY SHOWED TO REPAIR SPRINKLERS THAT WERE DAMAGED IN FIRE. SHOWED WHERE HEADS WERE AND HE STARTED TO REPLACE HEADS AND ONE DROP THAT CAME LOOSE WHILE TAKING HEAD OFF. A COMPANY CAME TO EXTRACT WATER FROM FLOORING AND CEILINGS TO ALL 3 UNITS. TRIED TO GET 2ND FLOOR DONE FIRST TO SECURE UNIT #291. I WAS TOLD TO LEAVE OPENED DUE TO WILL START REPAIRS SOON. I ADVISED THAT WE HAD SOMEONE TO SECURE UNIT HERE AND WAS READY TO SECURE. IF NOT SECURING UNIT WILL NEED FOR SOME ONE TO SIGN THAT THE CITY WAS GOING TO SECURE PER AL AND THEN NOT SECURING PER RICHARD WITH BOTH BEING BOARD MEMBERS. HAD RICHARD SIGN PAPER WORK FOR ALL SITES DUE TO HE STATED HE WILL SIGN ANY PAPER WORK NEEDED TO BE SIGNED FOR FIRE. BATHCREST LEFT 2 SCREWS TO DRILL INTO DOOR TO SECURE SECURITY DOOR. ONCE PAPER SIGNED, SPRINKLERS BEING REPAIRED CARPETS AND SCILING BEING EXTRACTED, I LEFT THE SCENE. WILL CHECK IN 15 DAYS.
