11/14/2006 INSP - FULL Violation 1). Currently the entire rated ceiling the following rooms serving the hot water and household heaters are missing. This is in violation of several fire code requirements. The IFC 703.1 states:
SECTION 703
FIRE-RESISTANCE-RATED CONSTRUCTION
703.1 Maintenance. The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, fire stops, shaft enclosures, partitions and floors) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings, and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. Openings through fire-resistance- rated assemblies shall be protected by self-closing or automatic- closing doors of approved construction meeting the
fire protection requirements for the assembly.

The ceiling shall be repaired in the following rooms: C-1, B-4, B-1, J-1, G-4

2). Smoke detector shall be replaced in Apt G-6. IFC 901.6
3). Currently there are flanks on decks that are rotted in the areas of the following apts. and shall be repaired. A-6, A-7, J-6, H-6, G-6, F-7. IFC 1027.2
4). Remove and cap all dead electrical wiring around the following areas, this includes all broke outlets and light bulbs. IFC A-5, A-7, A-8, H-6
5). Currently there is an entire panel of require rated construction missing in the bedroom of Apt. G-6.
IFC 703.1 this shall be repaired by 11-16-06

6). The starts in the following areas are in need of repair and affecting exiting. H-7, G-5, F-7, E-8. IFC 1027.2
7). Vent pipe to hot water heater near Apt H-3 shall be repaired.
8). Cover shall be replaced over exposed fan in air conditioning unit near apt. J-4.
