Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 1. SYSTEM TEMP. BACK INSERVICE BY MA29 AND EN14 A-SHIFT SPRINKLER HEAD REPLACED WITH A 210* AND SYSTEM 2.SPRINKLER SYSTEM MUST BE REPAIRED AND TESTED BY A LIC. CONTRATOR. FAX REPORT TO FIRE PREVENTION 791- 5346. 1ST SERVICE SPRINKLER CO. CONTACTED BY OWNER. 3. PIPING TO LOW FOR FORK LIFTS TRAFFIC. PIPING MUST BE RAISED TO TOP OF HEADER TO AVOID FURTURE DAMANGE TO SPRINKLER SYSTEM. 3a. A PLANS MUST BE APPROVED AND A PERMIT PULLED PRIOR TO DESIGN CHANGES. 4. IFC 2003 901.7 Systems out of service. Where a required fire protection official shall be notified immediately and, where required by the fire code official, the building shall either be evacuated or an approved fire watch shall be provided for all occupants left unprotected by the shut down until the fire protection system has been returned to service. No required fire sprinkler system or fire alarm system shall be placed out of service for more than 8 hours in any 24 hour period without authorization by the fire code official. |
