[The letter from the Postal Service stated [they] maintain accountability with their security measures. The fire marshal will allow the use of the current security bar with the following stipulations: To ensure that there is no confusion on the required exiting from the building the following must be completed: 1. A sign stating "NOT AN EXIT" affixed to the interior side of the door. The sign shall consist of letters having a principal stroke of not less than 0.75 inch wide and at least 6 inches high on a contrasting background. 2. A sign stating "THIS DOOR BLOCKED" affixed to the exterior side of the door. The sign shall consist of letters having a principal stroke of not less than 0.75 inch wide and at least 6 inches high on a contrasting background. The signs shall be placed by July 31st, 2006. Until signs are placed on the doors, the doors must be left unlocked during business hours. Please contact inspector Cobb for an inspection upn completion of work. 7/28/06 All the abave requirements were met. Approved. |
