Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed.
***1. Extinguishers shall be inspected and tagged in accordance with this code.
***2. Since painting sprinkler heads invalidates the UL listing [changed the original condition of the head] ALL heads previously and currently painted shall be replaced.
Proof of the abovementioned work shall be given to the fire marshal.
