Went to Qualified Mechanical and met Juan Martinez 624-8988, who built hood and informed us the old hood was being removed and new one was being installed next week, Jan 28-Feb 1, 2008. Owner, designer, and builder/installer were all informed suppression system would need to be installed immediately after hood installed and to contact TFD when hood was complete. Will follow up next week to ensure progress is as scheduled. | |

He is working with a electrical engineer, Mechanical engineer, Structure engineer as well as DSD. In order to get the ball rolling he needed to get UL listed from the manufacture of the tortilla machine, this took along time. I will be getting a copy of the permit with the engineers stamp. |

Each required commercial kitchen exhaust hood and duct system required by Section 610 to have a Type 1 hood shall be protected with an approved automatic fire-extingiushing system installed in accordance with this code. |
