The fire alarm panel that was part of the heat detector system is currently not functioning and not required by order of appeal dated July 20, 1985, by Assistant Chief Ray Allan. Under fire code requirements, this fire alarm panel must be removed of maintained. IFC 901.6 states: 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 2). All heat detectors must be removed in all apartments as per same appeal. IFC 901.6 A recheck of apartments shall confirm this. 3). Repair electrical cord in paper storage. IFC 605. |
