Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. ** All fire extinguishers shall meet this TFC standard in an approved manner. Concerning the curtain dividers: 6. TFC 901.6 Fire extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times. ** A report shall be provided to the fire marshal by an approved fire systems inspector documenting adequate fire sprinkler coverage with the existing curtains. 7. TFC 315.2.1 Ceiling clearance. Storage shall be maintained 24 inches (610 mm) or more below the ceiling in nonsprinklered areas of buildings or a minimum of 18 inches (457 mm) below sprinkler head deflectors in sprinklered areas of buildings. ** A one half inch net hanger extending 18 inches below sprinkler heads may be required for adequate sprinkler coverage. |
