The complainant that called lives in this unit and claims to know first-hand of the goings-on, since he was hired by the owner to exchange work for rent. All work was unpermited. A storage building was built at the back of this unit which was under 200 sq. ft., however this was attached to the main house, a pass through was made by removing the window and proposing to install a doorway. Their are other structural and foundation defects that were noted. Inside of unit no. 1, in the bathroom, there is drywall visible when the exterior sliding window is opened indicating an illegal dwelling adjacent to the bathroom, also enclosing the bathroom without proper ventilation. Computer records have no indication that this was ever a legal dwelling. At the exterior laundry room the plumbing installation for the washer and water heater are done in an unproffesional manner and lack proper "P' traps, supports, ventilation and improper draining of the pressure and temperature valve of the water heater. The drain for this also leads somewhere into the other unit (no access.) A meeting is scheduled for 11-30-06 and a determination will be made as to open more different case numbers because all of the units from 1-4 have violations. |
