SHE WAS WORRIED IT WOULD GET WET BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING. I FINISHED NOTICE OF VIOLATION AND DAMAGE REPORT AND PUT ON A CLAMP THE WAS ON DOOR FOR NOTES TO BE LEFT THERE. I CHECKED THE SMOKE DETECTOR OF TENANTS ON SITE, THE SMOKE DETECTOR WAS WORKING. ALL IS SECURED. WILL CHECK IN 30 DAYS. | |
03/27/2006 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | RECEIVED A CALL FROM COMMUNICATION THAT TFD HAD HOUSE ON FIRE. WHEN ARRIVED UNIT WAS OUT BUT STILL HAD HOT SPOTS. I WAS INFORMED THAT A BODY WAS FOUND. THIS UNIT WAS A TOTAL LOST. I WAS ASKED THEN TO CLEAR OTHER UNITS FOR ELECTRICAL TO TURN BACK ON. UNIT #2 WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE POWER BACK ON DUE TO SOME OF THE WIRING HAD BEEN DAMAGED IN THE FIRE, THE BATHROOM EXHAUST FAN HAS BEEN DAMAGED AND HAS FALLEN. UNIT HAS SMOKE DAMAGE AND SOME OF THE TRUSSES HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. THE CEILING FELL IN THE BATHROOM AND LIVING ROOM. UNIT 3 WAS SEPARATED FROM THE BURNED UNITS AND [PWER WAS RESTORED. CHECKED FRONT UNITS WHICH WERE 809 A & B UNITS WERE ALSO SEPARATED FROM THE BURNED UNIT. UNITS HAD NO DAMAGED FROM THE FIRE AND POWER WAS RESTORED. WHILE CHECKING UNITS, THE SMOKE DETECTOR WERE NOT WORKING OR MISSING PARTS. ALSO THE WATER HEATERS NEED TO BE CHECKED. WHILE CHECKING THE FRONT UNIT, THE OWNER WAS ON SITE WHICH WAS ROGER PUTZI. HE STATED HE WAS THE OWNER SO GOT HIS PHONE NUMBER. ADVISED AND SHOED HIM THAT THE SMOKE DETECTORS WEREN'T WORKING OR MISSING PARTS. WENT OVER THE WATER HEATERS NOT BEING INSTALLED CORRECTLY. HE WAS ALREADY TALKING TO THE TENANT FROM UNIT 2 ON 811 ABOUT PLACING HIM IN ANOTHER UNIT. THE RED CROSS SHOWED TO SITE FOR TENANT BEING PLACED. RED CROSS TOOK TENANT AND MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR TENANT TO GET A PLACE FOR A COUPLE OF NIGHTS. ASKED IF HE GOT ITEMS OUT OF THE UNIT THAT HE NEEDED TO TAKE. HE SAID YES. ASKED IF HE HAD KEYS TO UNIT DUE TO WINDOWS BEING SECURED BUT WOULD LEAVE HIS DOOR WHERE HE COULD GET IN. HE SAID YES. FIRE UNITS LEFT SITE BUT INVESTIGATOR STAYED FOR CAUSE OF FIRE. CRIME UNIT SHOWED AND GOT PICTURES OF FIRE AND BODY. TOM THE INVESTIGATOR, AND THE DETECTIVE YANEZ THEN ORDER THE MEDICAL EXAMINER TO PICK UP THE BODY. WE WERE TOLD 2 HR. WAIT. THEN GOT A CALL THAT A MEDICAL EXAMINER WAS ON HIS WAY. BOARD UP CONTRACTOR THEN WAS CALLED TO SITE KNOWING IT WOULD TAKE AWHILE TO SHOW. MEDICAL EXAMINER SHOWED AND TOOK BODY FROM SITE. TOM FINISHED HIS INVESTIGATION AND WHILE WAITING FOR BOARD UP CONTRACTOR THE MEDIA STARTED TO SHOW. PAUL FROM TPD WAS CALLED THAT MEDIA WAS SHOWING UP. PAUL CAME TO SITE DID INTERVIEWS. CONTRACTOR SHOWED AND TOOK HIN TO ALLEY WAY TO START OTHER UNIT. BATHCREST STARTED TO MEASURE ALL WINDOWS WHILE TAPING WAS DONE. WHILE CUTTING MATERIAL, THEY HAD TO STOP DURING TAPING DUE TO NOISE. BOARD UP WAS COMPLETED AND DID POSTING OF "DO NOT ENTER" ON PLYWOOD PLACED. ONCE PROPERTY SECURED AND POSTING DONE, LEFT SITE. MEDIA WAS STILL ON SITE. WENT TO THE OFFICE TO CHECK INFO ON PROPERTY IF HAD ANYMORE COMPLAINTS ON SITE. FOUND NONE. WILL DO NOTICE OF VIOLATION AND DAMAGE REPORT FOR OWNER. OWNER ON RECORDS IS NOT ROGER PUTZI, SO WILL SEND NOTICE TO OWNER ON RECORD AND WILL ROGER PUTZI. |
