05/01/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Correction Required Issued Correction Notice. Contractor needs to address:
1- Clean all wash out. On and off site. (SE)
2- Clean up trash blowing off site. (NE)
3- Add all disturbed areas to SWPPP plan. (NE and SE)
this is all areas outside of the approved SWPPP drawing.
4- Install wattle on south side of south entrance.
If not addressed in 7 days I will issue a Notice of Violation. Spoke to Carl site super in regards to issues. Carl also refused to sign for correction notice. 5/1/07 at approx. 1245 hours.
04/10/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Correction Required Spoke to Tim Doyle with Sundt, in regards to:
1- Remove block from basin.
2- Move controls on N/E corner. Contractor disturbed area.
3- Contractor will need to stabilize all areas outside the grading limits disturbed by construction.
4- Address basin grading, not per the approved plans.
03/29/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Partial Approval Spoke to Carl in re-gards to contractor storing block in the basin area. Carl said the block would only be there for a week. I asked Carl if he had plans to store any other material in the basin. Carl said once the block is gone nothing else would go back there.
03/08/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Partial Approval Contractor addressed items from correction notice. Spoke to Tim in regards to adding SWPPP controls around batch plant. Per Jim Femling.
03/06/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Continued Attended a meeting with Sundt, Asst Fire Chief, Arch., Engineer, and City Project Manager, to discuss stormwater issues at this site. We discussed the difference between a retention basin and a sediment basin required by SWPPP. We resolved the issue about storing dirt and construction equipment and materials in the retention basin.
I walked the site after the meeting and discovered a problem with the controls around the batch plant. I will contact the project super today and get resolved.
02/26/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Correction Required ISSUED CORRECTION NOTICE. Contractor needs to:
1- Re-install controls (SWPPP) around mixer.
2- Remove wash out from drainage channel. South side.
3- Remove stockpiled material from detention basin.
*4- Contractor will need to provide a post perk test for basin, before end of project.
Contractor has 10 days to address items 1, 2, 3. If items are not addressed a Notice of Violation will be issued. Spoke to Karl site super at 0935. Karl refused to sign correction notice.
02/02/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Correction Required Contractor needs to remove stock pile from basin.
01/08/2007 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Correction Required Contractor needs to:
1- Stake down wattle around pipe. (entrance)
2- Clean wash out around site (mason and concrete). Provide wash out area and ensure use.
3- Contractor will need to stabilize area to the south of project. (near end of project) Spoke to Karl site super in regards to.
12/12/2006 STORMWATER FOLLOW-UP INSP Partial Approval Contractor needs to keep up with regular maintenance.
Note: Contractor needs to keep wash out cleaned up. Contractor will need to provide a workable wash out area for all subs. Also keep spoil material out of drainage channel and basin area. If contractor can not keep basin clean, additional SWPPP controls will need to be installed. Spoke to Karl on site, in regards to items.
