| 12/16/2005 | VIOL - FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS | Violation | 1). Currently there are 2 machines that have been identified to cause fires by sparks. The Murphy-Rodgers Dust collector and The Timesavers Inc belt sander. These machines shall be repaired to prevent fires. All future preventable fires shall be subject to litigation. 2). Currently there are 3 spraying booths used to spray flammable finishes. Permits to operate these 3 spray booths have not been found. You have 45 days from date of this letter to obtain permits and follow-up inspections, or booths must be disassembled. IFC 1105.6.42 3). Spray area and spray finish areas. Currently there is excessive spray on walls and sprinkler heads. These areas shall be cleaned immediately. IFC 1503.4 4). Currently there are several open containers of flammable liquids throughout areas exposing vapors through building. All flammable liquids shall have containers on them at all times. Only approved containers shall be allowed for flammable liquid storage and usage. The Tucson Fire Department encourages SW Doors to seek consulting in their usage of flammable liquids.
