| 10/18/2005 | COMPL - INITIAL INSPECTION | Approved | Recieved a call out from Engine 12 regarding several recent false alarms. Upon my arrival I spoke with Larry Colton (Prop. Management). I found that they are under construction in some areas. THe construction dust is setting off the alrm and causing a response from the engine crew. A fire watch was set up during the construction phase in order to resolve the issue. I issued a field notice contaning the following information. TFC 1404.5 Fire Watch You are hereby ordered to establish a fire watch until the alram system is placed back in service. 1. Firoe watch shall be a qualified person 2. You must have at least one approved means of notifying the fire department 3. The fire watches sole duty shall be to perform patrols and watch for the occurrance of fire. |
