The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises’ electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an
emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress:
1. Emergency lighting with battery backup will be place along all exit pathway.
09/06/2005 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS Violation TFC 2003 1008.1.8 Door operations.
Except as specifically permitted by this section egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort.
1. Remove the double-cylinder dead bolt lock from front exit door and replace a thumb latched dead bolt type.
2. The double cylinder dead bolt lock can remain on exit gate at front of the building, but a sign must be placed above the gate that reads " this gate to remain unlocked during business hours"

Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated.
All requiered exit sign must have illumination at all times.

The emergency lighting was wavied due to later fire code, and requiredment was not in the code.

If the common path is greater than 100', and the Occ. load is 30 or greater, a second exit is requiered.

Exits and exit access doors shall be marked by an approved exit sign readily visible from any direction of egress travel.
1. Exit signs will be place at each exit from the building.
2. Exit signs will be places along the exit corridor to direct a person to the unseen exit.
( Exit signs can be paper, placed as to aid exit direction.)
