On that date, 260 occupants were counted on the 5th floor. Building engineering supplied a square footage of 24, 500 for the entire unseperated 5th floor. The attached letter is your fire inspection report. In summary, the following Tucson Fire Code Violation(s) was noted: Tucson Fire Code sections and table 1004.1.2 states: The maximum floor area allowed per occupant is 100 sq. feet per occupant, for a business type area. With the occupant number of 260, and the square footage supplied by the building representative at 24, 500, you are exceeding the occupant load for a business type area on the 5th floor. With the above numbers, this occupant load if remain a business type area, shall be 240. |
