01/19/2006 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED THE SITE, UPON ARRIVAL FOUND THAT ADDRESS WAS FOR A TRAILER PARK. UNIT IN QUESTION WAS AT SOUTH END OF PARK IN THE WEST CORNER. DROVE THROUGH TRAILER PARK AND SAW THAT GAS AND ELECTRIC WERE INDIVIDUALLY METERED. VISITED UNIT AND MET WITH TENANT, MR TURNER WHO MENTIONED THAT THE STRUCTURE DID NOT HAVE HEAT AND THEY WERE USING SPACE HEATERS FOR HEAT, ALSO MENTIONED THEY HAVE CHILDREN. THERE WERE MULTIPLE ISSUES(WENT OVER BRIEFLY WITH SOME OF THE ISSUES) HAS CALLED OWNER SEVERAL TIMES AND COMPLAINED BUT GOT NO RESPONSE. ALSO MENTIONED THAT DUE TO LACK OF HEAT THEY WERE MOVING INTO THE TRAILER TO THE EAST OF THEM. I EXPLAINED TO MR TURNER THAT I WOULD BE CONDUCTING A COMPLETE INSPECTION OF THE UNIT, HE ALLOWED ENTRY. MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS.

INTERIOR FEATURES:
1)FRONT STEPS LACK HAND RAILS NOT SECURED TO THE TRAILER
2)FRONT DOOR KNOB IS A DOUBLE KEYED DEADBOLT
3)FRONT FLOOR AREA JUST INSIDE TRAILER APPEARS THAT SUB FLOORING IS DETIORIORATED AND FELT AS IF I COULD FALL THROUGH.
4)LIVING ROOM WINDOW LACKS A CRANK ON WESTERN WALL
5)UNIT LACKS NECESSARY SMOKE DETECTORS
6)LIVING ROOM WINDOW ON WEST WALL HAS BROKEN GLASS
7)KITCHEN WINDOW ON WEST WALL LACKS A CRANK, HING IS BROKEN
8)WINDOW ABOVE KITCHEN SINK LACKS A CRANK
9)STOVE LACKS KNOBS TO TURN ON BURNERS
10)BATHROOM DOOR NOT HUNG PROPERLY

6)FAN HAS EXPOSED ROMEX, NO FAN COVER , FAN RAN OFF LIGHT AND SWITCH
