FRONT DOOR HAD BEEN TORN OFF THE HINGES, AND NOBODY APPEARED TO BE INSIDE THE STRUCTURE. TRASH AND DEBRIS WERE FOUND SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY AS I WALKED THE AREA. IN THE BACKYARD THERE WAS A UNSECURED SHED, LOOKED AS THOUGH PEOPLE HAD BEEN STAYING THERE EVIDENCED BY COUCH,CHAIR, BOOKS, AND MAGAZINES, FOOD WRAPPERS AND BOTTLES. AN ABANDONED CAR WAS ALSO FOUND IN THE BACKYARD AREA, FENGING TO THE YARD WAS IN PLACE HOWEVER IT APPEARS GATES WERE TORN OFF AND APPARENTLY STOLEN ( GATE INFO GIVEN BY THE OWNER TO THE NORTH). HOUSE ALSO APPEARED TO BE HOUSING TRANSIENTS, EVIDENCED BY ALCOHOL BOTTLES,FOOD,CLOTHES, LIGHTERS AND CANDLES. SHED ALSO HAD BED ROLL AND BLANKETS IN BACK SECTION OF SHED. COULD NOT LOCATE OWNER, CALLED NICHOLE FOR WATER BILLING INFO. NICHOLE SAID WATER HAD RECENTLY BEEN SHUT OFF 5/05/05. WATER WAS UNDER A KATRINA TURNER. CALLED NUMBERS PROVIDE BY WATER BILLING FOR KATRINA TURNER, ONE NUMBER WAS NO LONGER IN SERVICE, THE OTHER WORK NUMBER SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW A KATRINA TURNER, THAT NOBODY BY THAT NAME HAD WORKED THERE. TALKED WITH SEVERAL NEIGHBORS, 803 AND 822 E LINDEN, BOTH OF WHOM SAID OWNER MR DUNCAN HAD PASSED AWAY THEY THOUGHT AT LEAST A YEAR AGO MAYBE TWO. OWNER DID NOT HAVE A WIFE, DID NOT THINK HE HAD ANY KIDS. NEIGHBOR TO THE NORTH JIM AND ADELE CONNER (INNITIATED CALL) ALSO MENTIONED THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD DIED, THAT SOME PERSON BY THE NAME OF RONNIE HAD BEEN LIVING THERE WITH GIRLFRIEND TINA. RONNIE HAD BEEN COMING TO PROPERTY AND TAKING THINGS. CONNERS HAD NOTICED DRUG ACTIVITY GOING ON ALMOST NIGHTLY, SAW PEOPLE SITTING IN ABANDONED CAR SMOKING CRACK, ALSO EVIDENCED BY MR CONNERS SON, AND ALSO SAW COUPLE HAVING SEX IN ABANDONED CAR. CONNERS FINALLY MADE CALL TO DNR WHEN THEY SAW PROPERTY BEING REMOVED FROM STRUCTURE AS WELL AS COOLER BEING TAKEN FROM ROOF. CALLED INSP C-13 WENT OVER ISSUES, INSP. HURD INFORMED ME TO CALL INSP 2. CALLED RICK SALADATE WENT OVER ISSUES, TOLD HIM I WANTED TO GO AHEAD AND BOARD UP PROPERTY. HE FELT WITH ALL THE ACTIVITY GOING ON THAT IT PROBABLY WAS A GOOD IDEA. CALLED BATHCREST TO BOARD UP PROPERTY, THEY ARRIVED APPROX 30 MINUTES AFTER BUT HAD TO GO PICK UP MORE MATERIAL AS THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH ON TRUCK. WROTE VACANT AND ABANDONED NOV ON SITE. BATHCREST BOARDED UP STRUCTURE. STRUCTURE WAS SECURED. POSTED STRUCTURE AND TOOK PICTURES OF ALL OPENINGS. CASE CLOSED PENDING BILLING BY BATHCREST!! |
