ALBERT WAS ON SITE WHEN I WENT TO DELIVER THE LETTER, ALBERT SIGNED THE LETTER, I INFORMED HIM OF WHAT HAD TAKEN PLACE ON THE 5/13/05 INSPECTION, THAT ELEVEN ITEMS REMAINED UNABATED ON THE NOV FOR UNIT 114 S CUESTAS, AND THAT I HAD WRITTEN A NEW NOV FOR VACANT AND UNSECURED UNIT 118, WHICH INCLUDED TRASH AND DEBRIS.WALKED THE PROPERTY WITH ALBERT, SHOWED HIM THE TRASH AND DEBRIS THAT NEEDED TO BE REMOVED. AT THAT TIME ALBERT INFORMED ME THAT ON SATURDAY 5/14/05, UNIT 114 S CUESTAS HAD BURNED INSIDE THE STRUCTURE THAT TFD HAD BEEN CALLED OUT AND WHEN THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT TFD REQUESTED BOARD UP. ALBERT MENTIONED THAT HE BOARDED THE UNIT HIMSELF, AND WAS TOLD ONLY BROKEN OR UNSECURED WINDOWS WOULD NEED TO BE BOARDED.UNIT HAS BEEN SECURED AND LEFT VACANT AT THIS TIME. SINCE THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT HAS BEEN BURNED, DNR NO LONGER HAS OPEN VIOLATIONS FROM THE ORIGINAL NOV. DUE TO FIRE AND VACANT UNIT DNR INSPECTOR C-16 WILL CLOSE ORIGINAL CASE ON TO5DV00272. HOWEVER CASE OPENED ON FRIDAY 5/13/05 WILL REMAIN OPEN AND SCHEDULED FOR A 30 DAY FOLLOW-UP. PICTURES WERE TAKEN.
05/13/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved 5/13/05 VISITED SITE, KNOCKED ON TENANTS DOOR, ANITA ANSWERED, I MENTIONED THAT I HAD FOUND FURTHER VIOLATIONS ON THE EXTERIOR OF PROPERTY AND THAT I WOULD BE BACK IN APPROX 30 MINUTES TO CONDUCT FOLLOW UP INSPECTION.
REVISITED UNIT TO CONDUCT FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION AND MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ELECTRICAL AND RAW SEWAGE ISSUES HAD BEEN ABATED BY THE FOLLOWING DAY OF THE INITIAL INSPECTION.
FRONT SECURITY DOOR DEADBOLT HAD BEEN REPAIRED AND PROPERLY WORKING/ ISSUE ABATED.
KITCHEN WINDOW PANE HAD BEEN REPLACED/ ISSUE ABATED
REMAINING ELEVEN ISSUES ON NOV REMAIN UNABATED.
EXPLAINED TO TENANT MY FINDINGS AND INFORMED HER THAT I WOULD BE FOLLOWING UP WITH OWNER ALBERT MARISCAL.

WHILE ON SITE I FOUND ADDITIONAL VIOLATIONS. FOUR OF THE SIX RENTALS HAD BEEN VACATED GAS AND ELECTRIC HAD BEEN SHUT OFF TO THOSE UNITS.

LACKS WINDOW PANE. LOOKS LIKE WORK IN PROGRESS. NOV WAS GIVEN
1400 W CONGRESS UNIT VACANT/SECURED AT THIS TIME
UNITS 114 AND 122 W CUESTAS ARE OCCUPIED AT THIS TIME
NOTICE OF VIOLATION FOR VACANT AND UNSECURED UNIT 118 AND TRASH AND DEBRIS WAS HAND DELIVERED TO LUPE MARISCAL OWNER, AND SIGNED FOR ON 5/13/05 BY MRS MARISCAL. SON ALBERT MARISCAL CANNOT BE CONTACTED. PHONE MESSAGE SAYS PERSON CANNOT BE REACHED, EITHER OUT OF THE CALLING AREA OR NOT TAKING CALLS AT THIS TIME. WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO FOLLOW UP WITH ALBERT.

HOT WATER HEATER CLOSET DILAPIDATED AND FALLING DOWN.
A DEEP HOLE REVEALING THE CLEAN-OUT HAS BEEN COVERED BY OLD PIECES OF WOOD.

STACK OF REBAR ON NORTH SIDE OF HOUSE.
PILE OF BLOCK ALSO ON NORTH SIDE OF HOUSE.
BUCKET OF DRIED CONCRETE, OLD IRONING BOARD, AND ROLL OF CHICKEN WIRE WERE FOUND ON WEST SIDE OF UNIT.
110 S CUESTAS:
PILE OF BLOCKS ARE IN FRONT OF STRUCTURE.
BAGS IF DRIED CEMENT ON NORTH SIDE OF STRUCTURE.
SMALL PILES OF TRASH AND DEBRIS ON WEST AND SOUTH SIDES OF STRUCTURE.

A WASHING MACHINE SETS TO THE SOUTH OF STRUCTURE, IT IS UNPLUGGED.

WOOD FRAME, BAGS OF CLOTHES, AND OLD PLASTIC TRASH CAN FOUND ON WEST SIDE.

A LARGE PILE OF TRASH INCLUDING, FURNITURE, WOOD, STORE CARTS, BIKE PARTS, APPLIANCES, ETC..,WERE FOUND BEHIND THE STRUCTURE.
BIKES AND BIKE PARTS, CRATES AND PLUMBING PARTS WERE FOUND ON NORTH SIDE OF STRUCTURE.
A CAR WAS FOUND ON BOTH THE NORTH AND WEST SIDE OF STRUCTURE.
BROKEN WINDOWS,BOARDED UP WERE FOUND THROUGHOUT THE STRUCTURE.

PICTURES WERE TAKEN OF ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS ON THE PROPERTY. HAND DELIVERED NOV FOR VACANT AND UNSECURED UNIT, TRASH AND DEBRIS, WITH 30 DAY FOLLOW-UP.
04/13/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved 4/13/05 VISITED SITE ON F/U INSP. FOUND THAT THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE HAD BEEN RESTORED TO BOTH UNITS, 114 AND 122, ELECTRICAL SERVICE ISSUE ABATED.
FOUND OWNER IN THE PROCESS OF ABATING THE SEWER BACK UP ISSUE, HAD ALREADY REMOVED ROCKS FROM CLEAN-OUT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF "SNAKING" THE SEWER LINE AND DID REMOVE FURTHER BLOCKAGE DURING THE INSPECTION PROCESS. SEWER ISSUE ALSO ABATED.
WILL CONDUCT A 30 DAY FOLLOW UP!
