10/18/2005 ENGINEERING - FINAL Partial Approval On 10/18/2005 I met with you and John Waid and looked at the area that is of concern. You were just starting to prepare to work on the re-grading of the drainage channel and would not have it completed till approximately 10/20/05.

We looked over the sediment that had gathered in the bottom of the basin since it was constructed and you were advised that this material needed to be removed. We looked also at the area to see if it was possible to install a low flow bleeder pipe into this basin to assist in the percolation, but this appears to be impossible.
Pumping may be allowed for the basin if they were unable to meet our current standards per the Stormwater Retention/Detention Manual, but most likely only with the approval from ADEQ & PCDEQ, especially if they plan on pumping the water after it is treated.

While looking over the basin it was noted and advised that there was some erosion damage to the drainage inlet that needed to be repaired. This would most likely require the removal of the existing rock riprap and filter fabric, and then rebuilding the earthen slopes with additional material. Once this had been completed the rock riprap would then need to be replaced in the same manner as before. The rock riprap probably should have been set into slope paving material to prevent erosion problems.

I will be looking for the original grading plans for the two grading permits that still remain open at this time. Once they have been found we will perform a grading inspection on the site to determine if all of the necessary items have been completed on this site. It has been determined that we will only be looking at issues that may create health and safety issues for the general public and employee's of the site.

During the site visit on 10/20/2005 it was noted that the drainage way bottom was cut roughly and may require additional work to ensure that positive drainag is met throughout the length of the channel.

I will be forwarding these same comments to Jim Vogelsberg, and the Engineering Department at DSD to be placed into the records.

At this time we will be changing the inspection results for this site from Temp C of O to a Final Approval.

Here are the photo's that were taken on the site on 10/20/2005 of the work that they have completed at this time. There is work on this site that is still needed, smoothing of the drainage way to ensure positive drainage, and the repair of the drainage inlet structure. The drainage of the basin will be checked prior to the final release of the grading permits for this site.
08/24/2005 ENGINEERING - FINAL Partial Approval TEMPORARY C OF O APPROVED AT THSI TIME, FINAL NOT TO BE GIVEN UNTIL ALL DRAINAGE PROBLEMS ON THIS SITE ARE RESOLVED AND ALL PREVIOUS GRADING PERMITS ARE CLEARED(T97BU01207 & T99BU02949). THE OWNER OF THE SITE HAS BEEN ASKED TO PROVIDE A LETTER STATING THAT HE WILL COMPLETE ALL OUTSTANDING WORK ON THIS SITE, A COMPLETION BOND MAYBE REQUIRED PRIOR TO THE C OF O BEING ISSUED.
