03/03/2006 GRADING - FINAL Denied I spoke to Leslie about her concerns with the project. I told her that she needs to hire her own building inspector to look at the cracks in her flag stone. I talked to Andy Conner about the clearing, he said that there were no save trees on the site, so all the trees they removed were OK, they will be planting trees as a part of there project. Pima Co Parks is aware of the closure and is working with the contractor. The contractor hopes to be finished with the outfall by 3/17.
03/01/2006 GRADING - FINAL Correction Required I met Adam Karon and his contractor and Civil Eng. on site and they would like to install 4-24-inch RCP pipe instead of the scupper as shown on the approved plans. The reason is that they over excavated the opening for the scupper and would have to use more concrete to build the scupper. I suggested that they build what is shown on the approved plans. He asked if the opening through the scupper could be made larger to reduce the amount of conc., I told the contractor to get approval from the Structural Eng.before altering the design. If the Structural Eng. approves, I think this will be a better solution then using pipe because it matches the original design of the approved plans.

I also met with a neighbor (Leslie Meigs) who is extremely upset with the whole operation. She is concerned with cracks in the exterior of her house due to the jack hammering, loss of trees, dust, loss of wildlife, broken water main, and blocking of the trail.
