C101.1 Scope. Water-based fire protection systems and fire alarm systems shall be inspected and tested in accordance with this appendix.
C101.2 Frequency. Inspection and testing of systems prescribed in this appendix shall be conducted annually or as specified herein except that the fire code official
may determine that additional inspection and/or testing is necessary to insure that systems or devices will operate properly in an emergency.
C101.3 Testing Personnel. The inspections and testing prescribed by this appendix shall be conducted by personnel demonstrated to be qualified to perform the full procedure for the particular system or device being inspected and/or
tested.
C101.4 Records. Written records of required inspections and tests shall be maintained on forms approved by the fire code official. A copy of these records shall be kept available at the protected property and a copy shall be submitted to the fire code official.
