INITIAL PARK INSPECTION BY HECTOR LOPEZ AND MYSELF REVEALED SIGNIFICANT N.P.O. VIOLATIONS CAUSED BY A LACK OF MAINTENANCE AND DISREGARD FOR PROPER PROCEDURES FOR MAKING REPAIRS, ADDING AND MODIFYING THE PARKS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
THE PARK DISTRIBUTOR SYSTEM AND ALL RELATED FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED BY THE MOBILE HOME PARK ITSELF AND SEVERAL SERVICE POINT ARE PROVIDED BY THE SERVING UTILITY WHICH IS TUCSON ELECTRIC POWER. THIS IS A PARK MASTER METERED SYSTEM.
THREE MASTER METERED AREA ARE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE THREE PARCELS WHICH CONSTITUTE THE PARK PROPERTY. A FOURTH LOCATION OF A SERVICE POINT IS LOCATED AT AND FOR THE PROPERTY WATER WELL SYSTEM WHICH SUPPLIES ALL OF THE POTABLE WATER FOR DRINKING, WASHING AND IRIGATION.
AS PREVIOUSLY STATED A MYRIAD OF ELECTRICAL HAZARD EXIST, THE COMPILATION BELOW ARE NOT COMPLETE, OTHER ISSUES MAY EXIST.
1. FUSED DISCONNECT SWITCHES FOUND TO BE DILAPITATED, NON FUNCTIONING, RUSTED.
2. IMPROPER OVER CURRENT PROTECTION.
3. GROUNDING AND GROUNDED CONDUCTOR ARE TERMINATED IN A COMON BAR WHERE 'SUB' ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IS INSTALLED.
4. GROUNDING ELECTRODE, GROUNDING ELECTRODE CONDUCTOR LACKING WHERE A SEPARATE STRUCTURE OR BUILDING HAS OCCURED.
5. PEDESTALS LACK GROUNDING ELECTRODE SYSTEM.
6. AN EFFECTIVE GROUNDING SYSTEM AS REQUIRED BY THE CODE HAS BEEN COMPROMISED DUE TO THE INSERTION OF PVC WATER LINE EITHER AS A REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR.
7. THE SOCKETS AND TERMINAL BASE FOR THE OLD FUSE BOXES HAVE BEEN 'GUTTED OUT' AND CIRCUIT BREAKER INSTALLED. THIS VIOLATOR 'LISTING' REQUIREMENTS AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE ELECTRICAL CODE. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER ARE LOOSE, NON FUNCTIONING AND SEVERELY WEATHERED.
8. OLD OPEN TYPE OF ELECTRIC METERS ARE A HAZARD, OPEN TERMINALS, EXPOSED SINGLE CONDUCTOR WIRING, MISSING DEAD FRONTS.
9. ACCESS TO PEDESTAL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT BELOW 21ST AND IMPROPER WORKING CLEARANCES. SOME OBSERVATION IS THAT SOME DOORS COULD NOT OPEN A MINIMUM OF 90 DEGREES.
10. THE STRUCTURE SUPPORTING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN BOXES, CONDUIT AND WIRING IS DILAPITATED, LOOSE, ROTTING, UNSOUND AND UNFIT FOR SUPPORT.
11. NO PERMANENT 'TAGGING', DIRECTORIES OR FORM OF IDENTIFYING SERVICE LOCATIONS, FEEDER AND BRANCH CIRCUIT DESTINATION.
12. RECEPTACLE CONFIGURATION ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH RATED AMPREITIES AND WIRE SIZES, ALSO AT SOME AREAS THE WRONG RECEPTACLE RATING HAS BEEN MISAPPLIED FOR TRAVEL TRAILER AND MOBILE HOME PEDESTALS.
13. ACESSORY STRUCTURE ALSO WIRED WITH OUT PERMITS, EVIDENCED BY THE WORKMANSHIP (OR LACK OF), BURIAL DEPTH, OPEN WIRING, UNPROTECTED WIRING.
14. LIFE LINES NOT LISTED FOR MOBILE HOME USE, RATINGS NOT SET AMPED ON CODE, LIFE LINES
INCORRECTLY INSTALLED, TERMINATED. LIFE LINES ARE IMPROPERLY SPLICED, FRAYED AND PRICED TOGETHER.
15. LIGHTING FIXTURE AND POLES THROUGHOUT WERE FOUND TO TAKE THE PROPER GLOKES AND OUTLETS SUCH AS RECEPTACLES WERE NOT WEATHER PROOF.
16. THE WATER WELL AREA/STRORAGE FACILITY AND ALL ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT ARE ROTTED, NONFUNCTIONING AND THE ENCLOSURE WIRING GUTTER SPACE OVERFILLED W/ CONDUCTOR. (PER N.E.C. CUBIC INCH CAPACITY ALLOWANCE.
