I WILL BE REQUESTING THAT THE GAS AND ELECTRIC BE KEPT OFF UNTIL A CLEARANCE IS GRANTED BY THE CITY OF TUCSON.

THERE WAS A MR BT PATTEL LOOKING AT THE UNITS. A PROSPECTIVE BUYER.

MR ROBERT STEWART INDICATED THAT HE WANTS TO GET A PLAN AND PERMITS TO REHAB ALL UNITS. I TOLD HIM BEST TO GET AN ARCHITECT AND TO TALK WITH DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FOR ANY APPEALS TO THE STRUCTURE OR CHARGES TO.
04/14/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved NOTS FOR FU: MADE FU INSPECTION AT THE SITE TO CHECK ON THE IMMEDIATE REPAIRS FOR COMPLETION. NOTED THAT AREAS THAT WERE MISSED, 1ST AREA IS THE EXTERIOR WALL LIGHT AT OFFICE EXIT- NO WIRE NUT AND NO COVER.
2ND: DID NOT INSTALL DEAD FRONT OF PANNEL BOARD AT POOL REMADA.

04/07/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Revision JIM HURD AND MYSELF MET WITH OWNER OF EL SOL MOTEL, (SHERRY STEWART) AND THE NEW ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR THAT MAY ASSUME THE PROJECT; BRAD RICHARDS OF "SMART ELECTRIC".

THE DICUSSION INVOLVED IMMEDIATE HAZARDS THAT WERE NOTED ON THE PREVIOUS DAY (04/06/05) AND THE ABATEMENT THEREOF. JIM HURD AND MYSELF ALSO INFORMED MR. RICHARDS OF THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES ON THE CURRENT NOTICE AND ORDER, THIS WAY MR. RICHARDS KNOWS FIRSTHAND WHAT IS EXPECTED AND WILL BE BETTER INFORMED TO MAKE HIS ASSESSMENT FOR A WORK PROPOSAL TO THE OWNER.

THE OWNER HAS INDICATED AN EAGERNESS TO COMMENCE WITH ALL WORK REQUIRED.
04/06/2005 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Correction Required OWNER, SHERRIE STEWART IS SEEKING ANOTHER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, "SMART ELECTRIC" TO DO WORK THAT HAS BEEN REQUESTED BY INSPECTOR JIM HURD.

A CHANGE IN STATUS HAS OCCURED AND NOW THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY HAS A DIRECT INVOLVEMENT IN THE ABATEMENT PROCESS. IN CONSIDERATION OF THE NEW STATUS, INSPECTOR JAMES HURD AND MYSELF MADE ANOTHER INSPECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE MOTEL TO SEE WHAT CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUES HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED.

UPON THIS RE-EVALUATION MR. HURD AND MYSELF DISCOVERED THAT THE STATUS QUO REMAINS, AND IN SOME INSTANCES A DEGRADATION HAS OCCURED IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIRING AND REPLACING OTHER STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS DUE TO THE NECESSITY TO MOVE WIRES AND CABLES IN ORDER TO WORK THE REPAIRS.

THE ABOVE CONDITION HAS CREATED AN URGENCY BECAUSE OF THE EXPOSED, UNPROTECTED, ENERGIZED WIRES PROTRUDING FROM ELECTRICAL BOXES WITHIN REACH OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS ADJACENT TO EXTERIOR EXITS, LOW AREAS OF YARD LIGHTS AND OTHER ACCESSIBLE AREAS.

A NEW TIME FRAME TO COMPLY IS BEEING SOUGHT BY THE OWNER AND A MEETING HAS BEEN SCHEDULED WITH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES FOR APRIL 7, 2005.
