| 01/12/2004 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Correction Required | SITE VISIT DONE TODAY PER REQUEST, AT SITE I MET TENANT AND SON AT SITE, AS I WALKED TO THE FRONT YARD I FOUND THAT THERE WAS LOTS OF TRASHED AND DEBRIES STORED IN THE FRONT YARD, AS I NEARED THE FRONT PORCH I FOUND THAT THE PORCH AREA WAS COVERED WITH PERSONAL STORAGE AND BELONGINGS BLOCKING A SAFE PATH INTO AND OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR, THE TENANT, (OLDER WOMAN) DID HAVE PROBLEMS ANSWERING THE FRONT DOOR AND WALKING OVER ITEMS IN AND AROUND THE FRONT DOOR AND FLOOR, AS I ENTERED THE UNIT IN THE LIVING ROOM I FOUND THAT THE ROOM IS FOUND TO BE FULL OF PERSONAL ITEMS, IN SOME AREA'S IT CAN BE FOUND UP TO 5 FEET TALL AND COVERING 90% OF THE FLOOR SPACE, I DID FIND A MINOR PATH FOR EGRESS IN THE ROOM FOR WALKING, THIS HAS BEEN FOUND TO MINOR. A VERY SMALL WALKING AREA. HAS I ENTERED THE HALL AND THE REAR BEDROOM OF THE TENANT,(MOTHER ) I FOUND THAT THE BEDROOM IS COVERED IN PERSONAL STORAGE AS WELL, THE BED IS COVERED WITH CLOTHES AND SHOES AND THE CLOSET FULL AND OVER FLOWING INTO THE BEDROOM, I FOUND THAT THE BEDROOM WINDOW IS BLOCKED FROM BOXES OF STORAGE AS WELL, THERE IS ALSO A MINOR WALK WAY IN THIS ROOM AS WELL BEING ABOUT 24 INCHES WIDE, AFTER REVIEWING THIS ROOM I INSPECTED THE SON'S ROOM (DON) THIS ROOM IS AS THE MOTHER'S, SAME STORAGE AND BLOCKING WINDOWS, THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAR AND WORKING WELL, I ALSO INSPECTED THE KITCHEN AND FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE OTHER ROOMS, THE KITCHEN IS COVERED IN PERSONAL STORAGE WITH A MINOR WALKING AREA, THIS UNIT IS ON THE EDGE OF NOT MEETING SAFETY CODES WITH DNR, AT THIS TIME I WILL BE REQUIRED TO SEND NOTICE TO OWNER TO HAVE TENANTS REMOVE ITEMS BLOCKING FIRE ESCAPE AND EGRESS, THE TENANT AT SITE WAS ASK TO REMOVE ITEMS FROM WINDOWS AND MAKE WALKING AREA CLEAR AND FREE OF AT LEAST 36 INCHES WIDE, THE SON AT THIS TIME DID LEAVE SITE TO GO TO WORK, I DID A CONTACT CELL NUMBER FOR THE SON (DON). 272-6872.
