10/27/2004 FOLLOW UP CODE VIOLATION Violation INSP 10/25/04 - CALLED OUT BY JESSIE SANDERS DUE TO NEIGHBOR CONCERNS AND WAS WARD OFFICE REFERAL. THERE WAS A FIRE AT THE PROPERTY IN JUNE 2003. THE PROPERTY WAS THEN SECURED BY THE CITY OF TUCSON BECAUSE IT WAS A DANGEROUS BLDG. THE COMPlAINT CAME IN FROM NEIGHBOR STATED THAT HOUSE HAD BEEN UNSECURED SINCE 1/2004 AND THAT PEOPLE WERE BREAKING IN AND HAD BEEN STAYING IN THE HOUSE AT NIGHT. AFTER INSPECTING, I FOUND THE PLYWOOD TORN OFF OF DOORWAYS, REAR SLIDING GLASS DOOR BROKEN OUT, FRONT DOOR OPEN AND OTHER WINDOWS OPEN WHERE UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY WAS GAINED. THERE APPEARED TO BE FRESH USED DIAPERS ON ONE OF THE BEDS AT THE UNIT.THE COMPLAINTANT (NEIGHBOR NEXT DOOR) MRS GRAHAM, STATED SHE CALLED POLICE SEVERAL TIMES HOWEVER WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVED THE PEOPLE WOULD LEAVE AND THE DANGEROUS STRUCTURE WOULD REMAIN UNSECURED. A COMPLAINT WAS CALLED INTO DNR ON 6/30/04 HOWEVER DNR REFERRED THE CASE BACK TO US FOR SECUREMENT, UNIT WAS RE-SECURED ON 10/25/04 BY BATHCREST. ATTEMPTS TO REACH THE OWNER FAILED. ALL THE GERHARDTS WERE CALLED IN THE PHONE BOOK AND THE 411 DIRECTORY. ALL DENIED OWNERSHIP. THE NUMBER IN OUR SYSTEM FOR JANICE GERHARDT, OWNER, WAS INVALID. OWNER HAS PREVIOUSLY STATED SHE HAD NO RESOURCES TO SECURE UNIT.
10/26/2004 FOLLOW UP CODE VIOLATION Correction Required COMPLAINTS FROM NEIGHBORS THAT PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN THE HOUSE GOING IN AFTER DARK. NEIGHBOR STATES SHE HAS CALLED THE POLICE SEVERAL TIMES AND WHEN THE POLICE ARRIVE THE PEOPLE LEAVE. SHE STATES THE HOUSE HAS BEEN UNSECURED SINCE JAN OF 2004 AND THAT THE ACTIVITY HAS BEEN GOING ON. WARD OFFICE ASKED THAT SOMETHING BE DONE. EVIDENCE WAS FOUND OF UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY. THE BUILDING IS DANGEROUS. THE CEILING COMPONETS ARE FALLING DUE TO THE FIRE DAMAGE. WINDOWS AND DOORS HAVE BUSTED OUT FOR TRESPASSERS TO GAIN ENTRY. PLYWOOD THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED HAD BEEN TORN OFF THE STRUCTURE. THE DANGEROUS BUILDING WAS RESECURED BY BATHCREST. PICTURES ARE IN THE FILE.
