12/17/2003 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Correction Required AT SITE I FOUND NO ONE HOME. THE TENANT IN UNIT G HAS NOT STOPPED USE OF WASHER ON BACK PORCH AND STILL DRAINS WATER INTO REAR DRIVEWAY. THE JUNK H.W. HEATER USED FOR PART OF THE JUNK FENCE IS GONE, YET FENCE REMAINS. I WILL CHECK FOR NOV DATE AND THEN CITE. CHECK DATE ON GREEN CARDS.
11/26/2003 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Correction Required TENANT CALLED YESTERDAY ONLY WANTS INSPECTION AFTER 4:00 PM. TENANT WAS NOT ON TIME AS REQUESTED. I DID WALK UP TO UNIT H ABOVE AND TALKED TO TENANT. THE TENANT THERE STATED THAT THE MAINT. MAN IS AWARE OF ISSUES. THE MAINT. MAN FEELS IT'S A GROUT ISSUE. THE UNIT HAS BEEN FOUND TO HAVE SOME MISSING GROUT IN SHOWER BOTTOM. I FEEL IT'S MORE. I DID REMOVE STALL DRAIN CAP TO REVIEW (P-TRAP). I FOUND THAT THE OLD PIPE IS RUSTED AND UNCLEAN. THE P-TRAP AT THIS TIME IS HOLDING WATER. I FEEL SYSTEM MUST BE REVIEWED FROM THE BOTTOM IN UNIT G. THE SHEETROCK WILL NEED TO BE CUT OUT AND INSPECT DRAINS AND MAYBE ROTTED FLOOR BEAMS. IF THE DRAINS AND BEAMS TURN OUT TO BE TO CODE, THEN THE OWNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO RE-INSTALL NEW FLOOR TILE IN SHOWER STALL WITH NEW AND PROPER SEALS. THE UNITS ARE APPROX. 50 YEARS OLD AND MUST HAVE USED THIN WALL METAL DRAIN WITH LEAD SEALS, AFTER TALKING MORE WITH UNIT F, THE MAINT. MAN STATED THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN THERE FOR YEARS (IE) WATER LEAKING INTO UNIT G. PHOTO WAS TAKEN OF FLOOR DRAIN IN UNIT H. TENANT IN UNIT G IS DRAINING WASHER INTO REAR LOT, CAUSING WATER TO STAND. TENANT ALSO USING OLD HOTWATER HEATER. OLD WASHER, OLD PLYWOOD AS YARD FENCE. TENANT NEVER SHOWED FOR APPT. TIME 4:25 PM.
11/24/2003 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Correction Required AT SITE 10:50 AM, TENANT WAS NOT HOME. THERE ARE (12) UNITS AT SITE. I DID NOT FIND ANY ISSUES OUTSIDE THE UNITS. I DID LEAVE NOTICE TO TENANT THAT NO ONE WAS HOME - PHOTOS TAKEN AT SITE. FOLLOW UP WITH TENANTS CALL TO DNR FOR APPT.
