TENANT STATED THAT THE OWNER INSTALLED ALL NEW GAS LINES, HOTWATER HEATER AND MAIN HEATING SYSTEM. W/O PERMITS. THERE IS A YELLOW TAG ON HEATER STATING UNIT IS NOT VENTED PROPERLY. TENANT STATED THAT S.W.G WILL BE AT SITE 11/26/03 TO INSPECT (STOVE). THE RAW SEWER ISSUE IS OKAY AT THIS TIME. THE CLEAN OUT AND MAIN PIPE IS CLEAR (SEE PHOTOS). THE TENANT STATED THE ELECT. ISSUE WAS REPAIRED YESTERDAY BY OWNER. I DID FIND THAT THERE IS NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTORS IN ANY BEDROOMS AND AN OLD VENT INSIDE HALL CLOSET THAT IS OPEN TO THE SKY ALLOWING RAIN INSIDE UNIT- NOT WEATHER TIGHT. THE TWO ROOMS ADDED TO THE REAR WILL NEED REF. TO DSD. BOTH ROOMS ARE APPROX. 15' X 20' WITH ELECT. ADDED TO REAR OF HOME. THE TENANT STATED SHE WAS BUYING THE UNIT, BUT NOT NOW JUST RENTING. THE UNIT IN GENERAL IS FINE, CLEAN INSIDE. THE REAR BLOCK WALL IS UNSTABLE DUE TO BEING BUILT THIN. ABOUT 3 1/2 IN. THICK AND 5' HIGH. TENANT HAS INSTALLED WOOD TO MAKE STABLE. THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOT STABLE. PHOTOS WERE TAKEN AT STIE OF THE ABOVE ISSUES A REF. MUST BE MADE TO THE COUNTY FOR RENTAL UNIT NOT ON FILE. LEGAL STATES OWNER LIVES AT ADDRESS.
