07/07/2003 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Correction Required SITE VISIT I MET TENANT FROM REAR UNIT UNIT AND SHE OPENED UNIT A IN FRONT, THE UNIT WAS FOUND WITH VERY LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER RUNNING FROM INSIDE THE UNIT TO THE OUTSIDE, THERE WAS A TYPE OF WATER-FALL FROM THE REAR DOOR, WHICH IS THE CHILDS BEDROOM, I INSPECTED THE UNIT AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: WATER MAIN BROKEN UNDER THE CONCRETE KITCHEN FLOOR FLOODING THE LIVINGROOM, KITCHEN AND CHILDS BEDROOM, THE WALL IS DAMAGED AND THE FLLORS, TENANTS PERSONAL BELONGINGS ARE ALSO DAMAGED BY THE FLOODING WATER, THE ELECT. OUTLETS ARE WET FROM THE WATER CAUSING A HAZARD TO LIFE AND LIMB TO THE TENANT INSIDE THE UNIT, I CALLED THE MANAGER AT SITE TO SEE IF THE WATER COULD BE REPAIRED , THE MANAGER WAS VERY ANGER AND WANTED TO KNOW WHO CALLED , HE STATED THAT THE WATER HAS ONLY BEEN THIS WAY FOR A FEW WEEKS AND HE WANTED TO WAIT FOR THE INSUR. TO PAY THE CLAIM BEFORE HE MADE REPAIRS, AT THIS TIME HE STARTED YELLING AT ME OVER THE PHONE STATING F-K THE TENANT AND THE CITY AND HUG UP THE PHONE, AT THIS TIME I CALLED THE OWNER WHILE AT SITE, THE OWNER DOES NOT WANT TO MAKE THE REPAIRS AT THIS AND SENT A PLUMBER TO THE SITE AND TURNED OFF THE WATER, AT THIS TIME I CALLED C-6 FOR OK TO SHUT DOWN THE UNITS DUE TO LACK OF RUNNING WATER AND THE ELECT. HAZARDS TO THE TENANTS, THERE ARE OTHER ISSUES PENDING, THE UNITS---A-B ARE SHUT DOWN AND POSTED.
