UNIT STILL UNOCCUPIED AND SECURE. ALL YARDS CLEAN. OWNER HAS STOPPED VOLUNTEER GROUP FROM COMPLETING CLEAN UP OF INTERIOR. MOST RELAVANT ISSUE LEFT IS REPAIRS TO ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND FINAL INSPECTION FOR REMOVAL OF DEBRIS. VOLUNTEER GROUP DID RELAY THAT LIVING RM, KITCHEN AND BATHROOM CLEANED OF DEBRIS BUT BOTH BEDROOMS PACKED. INTERIO STILL VERY FILTHY WITH HEAVY ROACH INFESTATION TO POINT OF FILLING REFRIDGERATOR, DEAD CATS STILL BEING FOUND IN THE INTERIOR WITH THE BELIEF THAT THERE ARE MORE IN THE BEDROOMS. IF OWNER REPAIRS ELECTRICAL AND TFD DEEMS BEDROOMS DO NOT POSE FIRE HAZARD THEN HEALTH DEPT MAY HAVE TO BE CONTACTED (DUE TO GRIME, FILTH AND POTENTIAL DEAD ANIMALS) IN ORDER TO ASSIST IN FINAL RELEASE OF STRUCTURE. E-MAIL SENT TO KARLA TIMMONS OF CCD (CITY) TO VERIFY OWNER'S CLAIM OF CITY ASSISTANCE IN PROCESS. ACTION: RETURN PACKET TO RICK ON 10/04/02.
08/23/2002 FOLLOW UP CODE VIOLATION Correction Required FOLLOW UP INSPECTION:
CONDUCTED INSPECTION IN ORDER TO SEE IF DUMPSTER HAS BEEN REPLACED, STATUS OF CLEAN UP TO YARD AREAS AND TO SPEAK TO OWNER AT REQUEST OF PAT CAMPBELL (CLEAN UP PEOPLE) DUE TO OWNER'S DELAY IN ALLOWING ENTRY INTO STRUCTURE TO CLEAN. INSPECTION FOUND YARD CLEAN EXCEPT FOR TWO SMALL PILES OF DEBRIS IN REAR YARD WHICH ONE WILL BE CLEANED UP THIS WEEKEND AND THE OTHER MUST BE REVIEWED BY OWNER FOR ANY LAST ITEMS THEY WISH TO KEEP. CONVERSATION WITH MR. & MRS. ROMO REVEALED THAT THEY ARE HAVING CONCERNS WITH CLEAN UP PEOPLE IN THAT THEY WANT TO THROW EVERYTHING OUT AND THAT THEY ARE MOVING TOO FAST FOR THEM AND THAT PHYSICALLY THEY CANNOT BE THERE ALL DAY DUE TO GETTING TIRED. I EXPLAINED TO MR ROMO THAT HE CAN TERMINATE CONTRACT HE HAS WITH VOLUNTEER GROUP. NOW THAT THE YARDS ARE CLEAN, ALL HE WOULD HAVE TO DO WOULD BE TO REMOVE THE CAT WASTE TO THE POINT OF NOT HAVING STRONG ODOR ESCAPING TO THE EXTERIOR. AT THIS TIME HE HAD NOT REMOVED ALL CATS AND NON OF THE CAT WASTE. AS A NOTE, A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF CAT WASTE AND DEAD BURIED CATS WERE REMOVED FROM THE REAR YARD. HE ALSO WAS INFORMED THAT THIS ACTION WOULD STILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO MOVE BACK IN BUT SINCE HE STATED HE IS CURRENTLY RENTING A STUDIO NEAR HIS ART STUDIO THEY COULD KEEP THE HOUSE LOCKED UP AND CLEAN AT A SLOWER PACE. THIS WAS NOW OFFERED AS A CHOICE SINCE THEY HAVE CHANGED THIER MIND FROM THEIR ORIGINAL STANCE THAT THEY WANTED TO MOVE BACK IN RIGHT AWAY AND WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WAS REQUIRED.

AFTER A LENGTHY CONVERSATION WITH THE OWNER'S, A FRIEND OF THE OWNER'S ON SITE AND THE CLEAN UP VOLUNTEERS OVER THE PHONE IT WAS DECIDED THAT MR ROMO WOULD ALLOW THE GROUP TO CLEAN THIS WEEKEND THE LIVING RM, KITCHEN AND BATHROOM. I WOULD THEN RE-EVALUATE WITH MR. ROMO IF HE WANTED TO EITHER COMPLETE THE CLEAN UP OR CANCEL IT.
