02/02/2008 | GRADING - FINAL | Partial Approval | THIS SITE WAS CHECKED TO SEE IF THE WORK HAD BEEN COMPLETED FOR THE HEADWALL EAST OF THE SLOPE PAVEMENT EAST OF LOT #51. IT IS RAINING AT THIS TIME AND THE CREW HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE THE FORM INSTALLATION FOR THIS SITE. I HAVE CONTACTED BILL WILLIAMS WITH D.R. HORTON AND ADVISED HIM THAT ADDITIONAL WORK IS STILL NEEDED PRIOR TO POURING OF THE STRUCTURE. HE HAS ALSO BEEN ADVISED THAT THE WORK IS TO BE INSPECTED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR THIS PROJECT, AND HE IS TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING: 1) AN INSPECTION REPORT OF HIS SITE VISIT, 2) AS-BUILT TYPICALS AND DRAWINGS TO COVER ALL OF THE ADDITIONAL WORK. 3) AS WELL AS A LETTER OF CERTIFICATION FROM THE ENGINEER OF RECORD FOR THE FILES NOTING THE CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN MADE TO THIS AND HIS APPROVAL OF SAID CHANGES. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE CHECKED BY ELIZABETH EBERBACH PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANOTHER FIELD INSPECTION FOR THE FINAL GRADING. PLEASE REFER TO THE COMMENTS FROM 6/13/2005 FOR SOME OF THE ISSUES THAT REMAIN ON THIS PROJECT, THERE MAYBE OTHERS ADDED TO THIS LIST BECAUSE OF PROJECT AGE SINCE LAST INSPECTION. CONTACT DAVID ROBERTS AT 349-7643 IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. | |
06/13/2005 | GRADING - FINAL | Denied | 1. Provide revised/as-built: 1.) Grading Plan, 2.) Tentative Plat and 3.) Final Plat, to the City of Tucson's Engineering and Zoning Divisions for review and approval. The plan must show all revisions and modifications. The approved revised/as-built grading plan is required for completion of the final grading inspection. 2. The revised/as-built grading plans that were provided do not show the grading elevations, drainage patterns or property line modifications for Lots 99-101. Drainage from Lots 99-101 is currently flowing across Lot 101 with no provisions for erosion control at the discharge point at the south end of Lot 101. 3. Safety and Health Hazard: Provide barricade railing on both Basin #5 and the drainage channel adjacent to Campana Drive. 4. The invert width of the drainage channel west of Basin 5 is not constructed per plan. The channel width is only 5' of the specified 8'. See Detail A, Page 10. 5. Provide a retaining wall on the vertically cut slope adjacent to the main entrance gate on Firehole River Way. See Detail A, Page 9. Material sloughing off this slope accumulates on the sidewalk. 6. Provide clean drainage transitions behind lots 10, 11 and 12 and remove all excess soil and rubble. 7. Slope grading behind Lots 1, 2 and 5 does not match the plan design. Re-grade the slopes to match the plan and provide soil stabilization. 8. Slope stabilization is not complete. See Grading Note 30 on Page 1 (All slopes steeper than 3:l will be stabilized with stone rip rappping of sculptured rock and installed by approved methods as stated in Development Standard 9-04.3.3). Additional soil stabilization and/or re-vegetation is required at outside perimeters of Lots 99, 75, 74, 71, 52, 42, 41, 40, 39, 37 and at the areas disturbed by the installation of the storm drainage and sanitary sewer pipelines. 9. Repair erosion damage in Basin #1 and remove gravel at inlet to Basin #1. There are (2) basins identified as basin #1 on the north end of this site. 10. Sedimentation indicators in the retention/detention basins have not been constructed to Plan specifications. Provide a revised and approved plan to show the actual size of the pipe that was installed and paint the 4" stripe every 1' with a foot marker as shown on Detail D, Page 12. Verify that elevations match the elevations shown for basin bottoms. 11. Provide an Arizona Registered Professional Engineer's Certified Inspection Report for the drainage and detention/retention facilities. |
