POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO CONNECTING WIRE AND INSULATION. POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO SMOKE ENTER FANS. BUILDING: DAMAGE TO WALL. APPROXIAMTELY 16"X16" OF WALL FINISH WAS DAMAGED.ELECTRICAL: A DIMMER SWITCH AND CONNECTING WIRING WERE DAMAGED. POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO SMOKE EATER" VENTILATOR NO SUMMARY OF REMARKS: THE FIRE WAS CONFINED TO A SMALL WALL AREA A LIGHTING DIMMER SWITCH WAS OVERLOAD. THE OVERLOAD CAUSED THE INTERNAL CIRCUITRY AND WIRING OF THE DIMMER SWITCH TO BURN. EXCESS HEAT ESCAPED THE METAL BOX HOUSING THE DIMMER AND THE WALL ABOVE THE SWITCH WAS "SMOKED".FU 1/18/01 |
