INSPECTOR RICK SALDATE ARRIVED AND FOUND THAT THE SUBSIDENCE WAS ACTUALLY AN OLD SEPTIC TANK WHICH WAS DISTURBED BY THE PLUMBERS WHO WERE DOING WORK. THE SEPTIC IS ACTUALLY BETWEEN THE TWO PROPERTY LINES WHICH THE OWNERS WILL BE DISCUSSING IN REGARDS TO ABATEMENT. INSPECTION OF THE SEPTIC FOUND THAT IT DID NOT IMMEDIATLY PLACE THE STRUCTURES IN DANGER BUT THE OWNER WAS INFORMED THAT HE WILL WANT TO CONTACT HIS INSURANCE AND AN ENGINEER TO GIVE HIM A SPECIFIC ASSESMENT ON MONDAY 02-07-2000. IF LEFT IN ITS PRESENT CONDITION RAIN AND WATER MAY ERODE THE FOOTING WHICH WILL SLOWLY PRODUCE STRUCTUAL PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. THE OWNER AGREED AND INFORMED ME THAT HE WOULD CONTACT ME ON MONDAY WITH INFO RE THE INSUR AND ENGINEER. AFTERWITCH DSC WILL THEN CLOSE THIS CASE.
